DOCS / QUICK START

Start from your codebase

Mocko ships as an agent skill. One paste into the coding agent you already use takes your app from screen captures to store-ready screenshots — this page is the whole manual.

Paste into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor — any agent

Run `npx skills use "https://mocko.pro/app-store-screenshots" --skill "app-store-screenshots"` and follow the generated skill instructions now. Read its complete output, redirecting it to a temporary file first if necessary. Resolve relative paths from the supporting-files directory it provides.
  1. Sign in — the skill prints a code, you approve it in the browser.
  2. Describe the app — name, one-line pitch, features in priority order, screen captures.
  3. Adjust — it hands you an editor URL. Tweak anything. Keep the tab open.
  4. Say “proceed” — the open tab renders and the PNGs land in your repo.

The browser does the rendering, so that tab is what produces the files. Free accounts get 5 screenshots a month on iPhone 17, watermarked.

What happens after you paste it

The skill drives the whole pipeline and stops for you exactly twice — once to approve the sign-in, once to look at the deck before it exports.

  1. 01

    The agent installs the skill

The command fetches the skill from this site and hands the agent its instructions — the CLI it drives has no dependencies beyond Node, so there is nothing else to set up.

  2. 02

    You approve a sign-in code

The skill prints a short code and a link. You open the link, sign in with Google, and confirm the code — the token stays on your machine and the agent never handles a password. Signing in for the first time is what creates the account.

  3. 03

It checks your plan before designing

The skill reads your tier and allowance first, and tells you what the plan will and will not export — so it never spends effort on a deck you cannot ship.

  4. 04

It builds the deck from your app

It studies the project, picks the shots, seeds the screens with believable demo data instead of your empty dev database, and drafts a caption for every shot — in each language you ask for, exported as one folder per locale. Localised listings are part of Pro.

  5. 05

    You adjust, then say “proceed”

The agent hands you an editor URL for the parts that need taste. Keep that tab open: your browser is what renders, and on “proceed” the store-exact PNGs land in your repo, named and ordered for upload.

Works with the agent you already use

The skill is plain instructions plus a zero-dependency CLI, so any agent that can run a shell command can drive it end to end.

Good to know

  • Node is the only requirement — the command runs through npx, and the CLI it fetches has no dependencies.
  • Rendering happens in your browser — screens are composed and exported on your machine, and the files are written where you asked. Nothing is uploaded to be drawn.
  • Free is real but bounded — 5 screenshots a month on iPhone 17, watermarked, no card. Pro unlocks every device, every store size, video and bulk export.
  • No agent required — the editor is the same product with you at the controls; the skill just automates the ceremony around it.
  • Running Mocko locally? Point the skill at your instance with login --url http://localhost:3000.
