Terms of service

Last updated 17 August 2026

Mocko is a hosted studio for making App Store and Google Play screenshots. Using it means agreeing to what follows. It is written to be read.

The service

Mocko renders your app screenshots into store-ready marketing images: device frames, layouts, themes and exact listing sizes. Rendering happens in your browser; your account, saved projects and uploaded images are stored on our side.

Mocko is in beta. Features may change, and there is no uptime guarantee yet. If something breaks in a way that costs you screenshots from your allowance, tell us and we will put them back.

Your account

Accounts are created by signing in with Google; there is no separate password to manage. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping access to the Google account behind it. Terminal sign-in issues a long-lived token stored on your own machine — treat it like a password.

One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials.

Plans and what they include

Free

  • 5 screenshots a month.
  • iPhone 17 and the flat mockup; iPhone listing sizes.
  • Every theme, layout and background.
  • A Mocko watermark on each export, and one artboard at a time.

Pro — $8 a month, or $72 a year

  • Unlimited screenshots, no watermark.
  • Every device and every listing size, including iPad and Mac.
  • Whole-deck export in one step, video export, transparent exports.
  • Saved cloud projects and scene environment controls.

A screenshot counts against your month when the file reaches your disk — not when it renders. A failed or cancelled export costs you nothing.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are handled by Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancel any time from your account page. Pro continues until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account returns to Free.
  • Cancelling does not delete your projects.
  • If Mocko was billed in error, or a payment went through for something you did not get, email us and it will be refunded.
  • Prices may change, with notice by email before a renewal at a new price.

What you make is yours

You keep every right to the screenshots you upload and the images you export. Mocko claims no ownership of them.

To run the service we need a narrow permission: to store, process and display your content back to you, and to render it into the exports you ask for. That permission exists only to operate Mocko, ends when you delete the content or your account, and does not extend to promoting Mocko with your work — if we ever want to show something you made, we will ask first.

Device frames and trademarks

Exports can depict physical hardware — phones, tablets and laptops — and the names and marks of the companies that make them belong to those companies, not to Mocko or to you. Nothing here grants you rights to them.

Device makers publish their own rules for how their products may be shown in marketing, and store operators enforce them on listings. Following those rules for the images you publish is your responsibility. Mocko gives you the tool; it cannot approve your listing.

Acceptable use

Do not use Mocko to:

  • Produce material that is unlawful, or that infringes somebody else’s rights.
  • Misrepresent an app — screenshots that show functionality the app does not have will in any case be rejected by the stores.
  • Work around plan limits, the watermark, or the screenshot allowance by modifying the client or the API traffic.
  • Attack the service, or attempt to reach other people’s accounts or data.

Accounts doing any of these can be suspended. Where it is a misunderstanding rather than abuse, expect an email first.

Ending it

You can stop using Mocko at any time, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it — see the privacy page. We may close an account for a breach of these terms, or discontinue the service; if a paid subscription is running when that happens, the unused part is refunded.

Liability

Mocko is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost sales, lost time, or a listing that did not perform as hoped. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes

These terms may change as the product does. The date at the top moves, and material changes are emailed to account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use Mocko after that means the new terms apply.
